Things to Do

CITY MUSEUM

Even though the reception at the City Museum does not start until 5pm, your invitation includes all-day access on the day of the wedding, Saturday September 6th. The City Museum is a one of a kind playground/art sculpture built in an old shoe factory that includes a cave system, a 10-story slide, a bar inside a log cabin, a giant whale and more. This is one of our favorite places and we're so excited to celebrate there with you all. Comfortable shoes are recommended if you plan on exploring!

FOREST PARK

Another St. Louis gem is Forest Park, which is located a few minutes away from St. James. One of the largest urban parks in the country, Forest Park is home to the St. Louis Art Museum, the Zoo, the Science Center, and the Missouri History Museum, which are all free! It also includes many walking paths, trails, and the award winning Ann O'C. Albrecht Nature Playscape.

MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDEN

If you're in the mood for plants, another favorite spot of ours is the Missouri Botanical Garden, which includes one of the largest Japanese gardens in North America. It is located in the historic Shaw neighborhood and is close to the beautiful Tower Grove Park.

GATEWAY ARCH NATIONAL PARK

Explore the smallest national park in the United States! Learn about the early days of St. Louis, America's journey west, and even the architecture contest that led to construction of this symbol of our city. You can also take a tram ride to the top for an amazing view! Tram tickets should be bought in advance, they sell out often.
